Popularity of the paddle

Betting that more teenagers are active and out of the house, pickleball has become a fan favorite for many as it continues to grow in popularity. In the last 3-5 years, many courts have begun popping up in the area.

With rules intended to benefit the average college athlete, the NCAA is allowing players to stick around and play college sports for up to six years. Rules such as the COVID-19 waiver and strategies like redshirting give college athletes one-year eligibility extensions.

Through feelings of nostalgia, simpler gameplay and streamer influence, older games are being played once again. Starting in mid-late 2025 games like Geometry Dash and Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 began to see an increase in player count.
