Through impressive flavor variety and unique approaches to making the best chicken, both Bojangles, located in Quakertown, and Mo’s Hot Chicken, located in Lansdale, offer great options for anyone searching for tasty chicken.
Mo’s Hot Chicken offers a similar menu size compared to other hot chicken restaurants, such as Asad’s Hot Chicken and Dave’s Hot Chicken.
There’s the classic chicken sandwich and the tenders that have become the status quo for many of these chicken-based restaurants.
But Mo’s puts a spin on their menu options.
Similar to Asad’s, Mo’s offers a signature sauce.
The flavor is simplistic yet delicious and allows the chicken to ascend past the deliciousness offered by any other restaurant.
Mo’s provides the customer with a few different options for deciding how they want their chicken.
From loaded fries and wraps to even having your chicken served with mac and cheese, Mo’s has some very unique choices.
At Mo’s, we ordered the number four at the hot honey spice level, which came with a chicken sandwich and a side of loaded fries, and for almost $20, the food did not disappoint.
While Mo’s comes with the more lofty price tag, the quality of the food will make you willing to pay more.
The honey and sauce interwoven with each other provide a sweet and spicy taste that you will not forget.
The spice level we chose was not too bad; it was bearable and added to the meal.
Overall, Mo’s is one of the best restaurants we have been to and would definitely recommend anyone reading this to try it out.
If we could go again, we would just get loaded fries instead of with the sandwich, because they are just too good to pass up.
Bojangles, on the other hand, did not quite reach the same levels as Mo’s.
Bojangles offers really solid food, and the spice that is present on both the chicken and the fries is a nice touch.
However, there is just nothing that sets it apart from the other restaurants that we have reviewed.
Bojangles offers chicken sandwiches and tenders, along with classic-cut fries that can be ordered separately.
Again, Bojangles is good food, and there is nothing at all wrong with it; it just is not as good as Mo’s.
Even more than that, Bojangles is much further away than Mo’s and does not provide anything special.
Why would we go to a restaurant that is 25 minutes away from the high school when there are restaurants like Popeyes, Mo’s and Chick-fil-A that are only around 12 minutes away and offer the same or higher quality of chicken entrees?
That being said, Bojangles does have a lot going for it.
While the location is relativelyfar away, the atmosphere and the feel of the restaurant itself arequite enjoyable.
Furthermore, Bojangles has a wide variety of drink options that many of the other restaurants we have reviewed in the past do not have.
This includes the glorious pink lemonade that we purchased along with our chicken.
While this may not seem like a big deal, that could not be further from the truth.
Bojangles is a chicken restaurant, but the drinks that come with the chicken should be seen as half the meal.
Without some nice pink lemonade to provide some heterogeneity to the meal, it would feel incomplete.
Overall, both experiences were honestly fantastic and are among some of the best chicken places at which we have eaten.
Battle of the birds: Mo’s vs. Bo’s starts to heat up
Benefiting the chicken eating society as a whole, Bojangles and Mo’s offfer two more options for poultry lovers.
