Starting May 27, Telford Happenings is aiming to bring in more customers while supporting local businesses at its weekly Telford Market.
The market is open every Wednesday from May 27-August 26 at the David S. Snook Community Building on 125 S. Hamilton St.
According to event coordinator Liz Peitzman, the market has grown consistently and is expected to keep growing after a location change from its previous location at the Telford Train Station.
“Vendor participation has continued to grow each year, and we’re excited to see a strong mix of both returning vendors and many new businesses joining us for the 2026 season,” Peitzman said. “While the season hasn’t started yet at the new location, there’s already a lot of enthusiasm from both vendors and the community.”
Peitzman believes that the new location will make setup easier.
“From an organizational standpoint, the new location allows for improved logistics across the board,” Peitzman said. “There is better parking availability, smoother traffic flow for vendor setup and breakdown and more flexibility in how we lay out vendors, food trucks and entertainment.”
4 Brothers Honey President Sarah Humes shares this belief about the new location of the market.
“I think it’ll be a little bit more of a streamlined setup, and a little easier on the vendors,” Humes said.
Peitzman feels that these benefits of the new location will contribute to the growth of the customer base.
“We expect the new location to enhance Telford Night Market’s visibility due to its layout and accessibility,” Peitzman said. “Combined with our marketing efforts, which generated over 530,000 impressions last season, we’re hopeful this move will continue to strengthen the Market’s presence and draw even more attention from the surrounding community.”
Humes feels that the connection between businesses and people in the market helps to build community.
“We do a lot of educational stuff. We have a lot of kids that come to the table,” Humes said, “so I think it helps the kids understand small businesses.”
Peitzman shares a similar experience in small businesses interacting with the community at the market.
“Telford Night Market helps create a direct connection between local businesses and the community. Customers get to know the people behind the products, which builds trust and loyalty,” Peitzman said.
According to Fork’d Pierogies owner Abbey Gordon, she thinks that the market is good for local businesses because it helps them branch out.
“[The Telford Night Market] helps showcase local businesses that people wouldn’t normally ever hear about,” Gordon said.
Humes agrees that the market is beneficial to local businesses because it gives them an “affordable venue” to sell their products.
