Flexible Instruction Days
Flexible Instruction Days (FID), are one of the best parts about the winter season for students and teachers alike. Not only do FIDs allow for students to stay home, but they do so without counting as snow days, meaning no make-up school days need to be added to the end of the year or spring break.
On top of this, when a FID occurs, Souderton students don’t have to check into their classes until 10 a.m. This later start provides the opportunity for students to get more rest.
FIDs are also a great way to get students outside. When it gets dark early, many students struggle to find time to get outside and enjoy the snowy weather, but FIDs allow more time for students to go outdoors while the sun is still up.
So wear your pjs inside out, put a spoon under your pillow and cross your fingers for a FID!
