Flip Flops in School
With summer approaching, school attire shifts to match, with items like shorts and t-shirts becoming common staples of the student wardrobe.
However, many students have also begun replacing their winter boots and spring sneakers with something much worse—flip flops.
This style choice is anything but stylish.
The odd shape and bright colors of flip flops often appear tacky, but even worse is having to see other people’s feet in class.
On top of the unpleasant sight, flip flops can also be hazardous for the wearer.
Exposed toes are extremely susceptible to dropped bags, water bottles, calculators and other school supplies, not to mention the risk of having one’s toes stepped on in the crowded halls.

Cruises
Vacations are one of the highlights of the summer; however, some of these trips simply aren’t what they seem, like cruises.
On paper, cruises seem enjoyable. A relaxing amusement park on water! But these trips are much more sickening.
Being out on the water in general has many problems. Most notably, sea-sickness.
However, what makes cruises different from other boat encounters is that there’s no escape from the ocean, no dry land to go to. Resting in your floating hotel room can’t remedy nausea; in fact, it will likely make it worse.
On top of this, cruises are often crowded, creating a trapped sensation, making it no longer enjoyable, and taking away the relaxation, which defeats the purpose of taking a vacation as a whole.
