During the first week of the Lunch and Learn pilot, students used styrofoam trays. Some students and teachers questioned the use of the trays as economically and environmentally wasteful. Styrofoam does not biodegrade and any disposable tray just adds to the waste issue. Students and teachers were heard during the second week of the Lunch and Learn pilot as students went back to using reusable trays. The voice of environmentally aware students and teachers was impressive, and the response to the concern was notable.
