Issue Four Thumbs Up

Issue+Four+Thumbs+Up

Women’s History Month:
During March we celebrate the lives and accomplishments of women throughout history, while pushing for continued equality and equal opportunity. Even as the world begins to move towards a more equal standing when it comes to gender, this month never loses its importance. It does not only honor women of the past who accomplished great things, but also the women of the present and the future who currently are, or will, do great things. Beyond recognizing some of the important and impactful changes women have made to the United States and the world as a whole, it is important to recognize the women who are doing that right now; Those that are pushing for social change and equality all over our country.

Red vs. White:
On April 4-5, Souderton will be hosting a school-wide spirit event called Red vs. White. The event will include both a pool and gym day, where half of the school, organized by last name, will compete against the other half in various challenges. The pool night will include challenges such as an obstacle course, freestyle relay and King of the Tube, while the gym night will include games like dodgeball and tug of war.  Both nights are filled with obstacle courses and games, created to increase and show off our school spirit. Participation is free and not limited to the games. Anyone who wants to may join the art team or come and cheer on their team.

Spring Weather:
As spring swiftly approaches, temperatures have been rising for the most part. Just as Punxsutawney Phil predicted, winter has begun giving way to the warmer weather that comes with spring. As the weather improves it brings with it some truly beautiful days that are perfect for getting outside and engaging in any manner of activity. Whether you want to play some sports, go for a run, take a bike ride, hang out with friends outside or just go for a walk, the weather is finally allowing for it. So put down your phones and take a step outside over the next few weeks. Chances are you’ll find yourself in beautiful conditions, ready to get out and do something.
