Sprucing it up…Placing a ribbon on the winning tree, Arrowhead adviser Stacey Aronow, along with Arrowhead editors and SAVE members, helped select Vice President Kamala Harris’ Christmas tree at Bustard’s Lehighton, Pa. tree farm on October 4. Bustard’s Christmas Trees won the honor earlier this year by placing second in the National Christmas Tree Contest. In 2015, Bustard’s was named grand champion and chosen to provide then President Barack Obama’s Christmas tree, which was displayed in The White House’s Blue Room.

‘Rooting’ for locally grown VP Christmas tree

After becoming reserve grand champions at the National Christmas Tree Growers Convention, Bustard’s Christmas Trees co-owners, Jay and Glenn Bustard, are supplying Vice President Kamala Harris’ residence with its Christmas tree this year.

In order to raise awareness for food insecurity in the community, Emmanuel Lutheran Church donated packaged meals to those in need through the E-meal program. The E-meal program has donated over half a million meals.
