With a different aura around both homemade and store-bought foods, homemade cookies are far more delectable than Crumbl brand cookies.
Cookies have been a fan favorite for years. Since the opening of Crumbl cookies, cookie consumption has been significantly impacted by driving a massive increase in demand.
The first Crumbl opened in 2017 in Logan, Utah. They started with just a chocolate chip cookie, but eventually expanded into flavors that can be rotated for a new menu weekly.
Crumbl is known to be one of the fastest-growing franchises in the United States.
In a tough draw, homemade cookies did end up tasting better than real Crumbl cookies.
After following an online recipe, we were able to make three types of cookies: chocolate chip, brookie cookies and sugar cookies. Accordingly, we tried Crumbl’s chocolate chip, brookie and a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar cookie.
We were not able to replicate the strawberry shortcake ice cream bar cookie exactly, so we made the next best thing: iced sugar cookies. Although they are two different things, the results were more than sufficient to compare.
Crumbl relies on strong, concentrated flavors along with a cakey thickness, which makes their products stand out. This brand is notorious for being high in calories and sugar. A typical Crumbl cookie can contain between 700-800 calories and 76 grams of sugar. It is not recommended to eat more than a fourth of a cookie in one sitting.
The homemade cookies stood out largely due to their balance between texture and sweetness. While we successfully replicated the soft, cakey consistency that makes Crumbl appealing, we intentionally reduced the sugar content.
This adjustment ensured that the cookies remained delicious without being overwhelmingly sweet, allowing them to be enjoyed in one sitting. This was a key factor in the homemade cookies’ superiority.
Crumbl has mostly gained popularity for its beautiful cookies that elevate the dessert experience.
Each cookie is designed to be eye-catching, with vibrant toppings, glossy finishes and a size that demands attention. Their aesthetic appeal isn’t just a happy accident; it’s an intentional part of their brand, making them perfect for posting on social media.
In this day and age, customers tend to think more about whether or not they will be able to post their experience online.
Crumbl caters to this, offering the perfect aesthetic in its iconic pink packaging.
Making cookies at home can be messy, cleaning up can be a hassle, but it all seems to be worth it looking back.
Making memories with friends and family while baking is highly entertaining and delightful in the long-run.
Homemade cookies outperform Crumbl one crumb at a time
Each having pros and cons of their own, homemade cookies and Crumbl cookies bring their strengths and weaknesses to the table. Crumbl can be found at many locations in the Quakertown area.
