Block Blast
As people spend more and more time on their phones, certain apps have gained a hold on society. One stand-out application is Block Blast, a Tetris-esque mobile puzzle game.
Users are given certain shaped blocks and must find space for them while trying to clear the area.
Kids are addicted to it, always trying to beat their high scores. It’s only a matter of time before the game makes its way into the adult community.
In layman’s terms, Block Blast has the same amount of popularity among kids as Candy Crush does among grown-ups.
The challenge, the colorful blocks and the satisfaction from clearing the screen keep people coming back for more.
Taco Tuesday
Students have been raving about Taco Tuesday in the cafeteria. The long-awaited anticipation for a tasty meal keeps the lunchroom packed every Tuesday.
It’s a shame it’s only served once a week.
The well-seasoned taco meat and crunchy chips served in the iconic square cardboard dish make school worthwhile after all, or at least a little more tolerable.
Hats off to Souderton’s cooks and lunch aides because they clearly know what they’re doing. Make sure to thank them the next time you’re going through the lunch line.
So, if you get the chance, run—don’t walk—to the cafeteria this Tuesday to get some tacos and finally feel full.
Big Red
School spirit soars thanks to our trusty school mascot, Big Red. Big Red, a buff, mohawk-wearing icon, can be found at many school-wide events.
His appearance at THON, pep rallies and football games brings up the audience’s morale while promoting community and togetherness.
Running through crowds of cheering fans or jumping around trying to get kids to make some noise, Big Red takes his job seriously.
He keeps students engaged and excited for school-sponsored events. And it’s not an easy feat, either.
Although his identity remains a mystery to many, we appreciate him and thank him for his service. If you see him around, give him a high five.
