Starbucks extra charge for no water
If you plan on going to Starbucks anytime soon, beware that they’re charging an extra dollar for Refreshers that are ordered with no water.
It’s somewhat reasonable, though, because without water, Refreshers have to be crafted using other ingredients, which can run up the cost since water is relatively inexpensive.
There is some controversy over the alleged extra charges that are being added to Refresher orders without ice.
Starbucks has confirmed that they are not charging extra for that but social media influencers seem to tell a different story. Clearly, there’s some confusion and miscommunication going on between Starbucks employees.
Whatever’s going on, hopefully Starbucks will get a handle on the situation because it’s upsetting loyal customers.
Fast fashion
Say no to fast fashion and try to dress more sustainably. Veto Temu, Cider, Shein and other mass-producing companies and instead shop at local thrift stores or second-hand shops.
Try not to overconsume because eventually, your purchases will end up in a landfill somewhere even though you only wore them twice.
Spend a little more money on something that will last you a lifetime, not a week, and donate your clothes that you aren’t using anymore.
Check yourself before you wreck yourself to make sure you’re really getting a bang for your buck and that what you’re buying is actually getting some use before you buy any more.
Less sunlight
As amazing as Daylight Savings was because of the extra hour it gave us, sacrificing our sunlight doesn’t seem as worth it anymore.
We start our mornings in darkness and by the time we’ve sat down for dinner, it’s dark again. The sun is barely out anymore, signaling that winter is on its way.
People are beginning to feel more tired and irritable now that there’s less and less sunlight each day.
The shortest day of the year with the least amount of sun is the day of the Winter Solstice, and in this case, it takes place on the 21 of December. So take in every last drop of vitamin D and cherish the sunlight when you can.
