Through staying home during the holiday season instead of going on a trip far from home, families are able to save money while also continuing family and town traditions.
As the holiday season approaches many families decide to take advantage of time off and go on a trip during the holidays.
However, the decision to do this rids families of the ability to be at home during a time of togetherness and instead forces them to spend this time away from at-home traditions and pets.
According to Forbes.com 66% of households in the U.S. own a pet.
When families leave for a vacation during the holiday season most are forced to leave their beloved pets at home and cannot spend one of the happiest times of the year with the animal that they love.
Instead of traveling and spending money to not see their pets during the holidays families should stay at home and spend one of the most magical times of the year with any sort of beloved pet.
The cost to go on vacation is another reason why holiday traveling makes no sense.
Instead of spending money on gifts for the people that they love, most families that travel have to dial back the spending on gifts to balance out what they have to spend on vacation.
Going on vacation during the holidays can force families to abandon their at home traditions and town holiday events.
With the holiday season many families have traditions that make the experience special.
However, when these families go on vacation it is often impossible to continue these traditions away from home.
This can lead to resentment within the family and can ruin not only their vacation, but also their entire holiday season.
The same is true with town events that families participate in.
These events can build a greater connection within the community and can once again build more holiday spirit.
With a vacation, families leave town and cannot participate in events or be with their friends at home.
While vacations can also create their own memories and traditions, these traditions should not supersede or replace traditions at home.
As well as ruining traditions vacations also ruin students’ breaks from school.
Oftentimes during these breaks from school this is the only time that students have off.
During this limited time off students should be spending time with family and friends at home.
Along with spending this valuable time at home students also can use the time off to finish homework.
While work on a break is never enjoyable, many students are given assignments that they must complete by the end of the break.
If a student is on a vacation during this break then it is much more of a inconvenience to have to bring work with them oftentimes across state lines or even to a different country.
Also, when these students are on vacation the incentive to the work that they need to do is lessened because of the vacation enviroment that the students are in.
Staying at home during the holidays offers a much better experience than traveling because it allows families a better sense of togetherness saves a large amount of money and gives way to a more tradition-filled holiday season.
Being home for the holidays strengthens relationships
To have the most enjoyable holiday possible, families should avoid traveling. Instead of spending exuberant amounts of money on a trip away from their pets and at-home traditions, vacationers should stay home for free.
