To modernize and increase business opportunities in Harleysville, the Flynn Company is constructing various exercise hubs, activities and restaurants which will formally be known as The Vault Town Center.
As per Flynn Company employee Michael Borski Jr., this remodeling began when the Flynn Company, a commercial real estate broker firm, was hired by Velocity Ventures to help sell and lease the open space inside what was previously the Harleysville Bank.
“This project is far from over,” Borski Jr. said. “There’s a lot more space for people to move into. We want to bring life to downtown Harleysville.”
There are plans for a “collaborative campus” to foster a walkable indoor and outdoor environment for residents.
The majority of changes will be made to Harleysville Bank’s interior to save the building’s classic exterior designs.
For Birdie Bays Indoor Golf co-owner and Harleysville native, Harrison Kulik, he ended up in the bank building at The Vault Town Center after spending two years looking for a place to set up the indoor golf store. This will be the first official location of Birdie Bays Indoor Golf.
“It’s the perfect scenario,” Kulik said. “The location is good and if everything works out we hope to expand.”
Kulik’s goal is for Birdie Bays Indoor Golf to be ready to open near the end of October with both membership and public access options.
“We’re excited to open and for people to enjoy our three Trackman Simulators,” Kulik said.
Other businesses officially located in The Vault Town Center will consist of Burn Boot Camp, Saha Yoga, Neshaminy Creek and Elevated Eats. Both Elevated Eats and Sammy’s Bullfrog Cafe, a small cafe in Harleysville, will be under the same ownership.
The real estate marketplace, LoopNet, provides a brief overview of what the plans are for The Vault Town Center and includes various computer-generated images as well.
LoopNet explains how The Vault Town Center is meant to be a “modern food and drink opportunity” that will offer “relaxed outdoor community spaces as well as an attractive venue for retail, event and office areas spanning two buildings.”
According to Borksi Jr., there will be a patio for tenants to use in addition to the tables and chairs that will be available for seating along the sidewalk. There will also be a courtyard-like center between the bank and the back building for the community to use.
Based on Kulik’s knowledge, not many of the businesses in The Vault Town Center are up and running yet. There is still construction and renovation occurring that needs to be completed before the doors will be entirely opened up to the community.
The ultimate goal for all of this is to increase life in Harleysville and create an “inclusive atmosphere” for all residents.
The Flynn Company’s current project has plans to grow as there are still spaces available in the buildings to be leased.
Potential uses of these spades include ones in “restaurant, retail, coffee shop/bakery, health/wellness, office/conference and leisure/entertainment” for citizens to take advantage of.
