Valentine’s Day Creativity
Say what you will about Valentines Day.
You may love it one year and hate it the next; maybe you never love it; maybe you always do.
Whether you love it or hate it, you have to enjoy the creativity that the holiday brings out in, not only couples, but the community as a whole.
Valentine’s Day is synonymous with red and pink hearts and boxes of chocolates, but many people decide to come up with more creative ways to show their affection for friends and family.
These creative gifts, decorations and gestures help to brighten the day of people that receive or witness them.
This showcases what Valentine’s Day should be all about: something that all people can enjoy.
Energy Star Appliances
The world continues to modernize and gain access to electricity, even in places that didn’t have electricity in the past.
This has caused an increase in energy consumption and demand across the world, and many of our current sources, like oil, are limited.
This creates yet another reason for people to want to save energy.
Energy Star Appliances are effective, energy saving appliances that strive to reduce the amount of energy used to accomplish its designed task.
Energy star also strives to be eco-friendly, as well as energy conservative.
The project is run by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy Conservation (DOE).
Presidents Day Weekend
Just after Valentine’s Day comes President’s Day weekend.
This four-day weekend is often overlooked, but provides a very nice break just after the holiday.
This weekend gives us four days to celebrate Valentine’s Day, which we do not get off for.
It also provides a break from new classes so that faculty and students can catch their breath and get their bearings.
Besides, who doesn’t love a four-day weekend?
This time of year also has a higher chance for snow than many other times, and can be a fun time for those who enjoy winter sports like skiing and snowboarding.
We want to thank the powers that be for instituting Flexible Instruction Days in the district, thus helping us keep our beloved President’s Day weekend intact.
